About Us
Amriton technology uses polymer coated silica or sand as the
adsorbent material (filter media) to remove the organic pollutants from water. Once the filter has reached its capacity to clean the water, it is taken off-line and the organic pollutants sticking on the filter media are either destroyed in-situ or desorbed using appropriate regeneration techniques. The regenerated or rejuvenated filter is reused by bringing it back on-line to clean the water.
Our Mission
We are an advanced water treatment technology company that strives to improve our planet by developing efficient water treatment methods that enable recycling and reuse
Recent Projects
Amriton received highly competitive SBIR Phase 1 & 2 Grants from the National Science Foundation.
The project focus is on the development of a novel, low cost, reusable filter for water purification. Water pollutants such as PFAS and pharmaceuticals, are efficiently removed from water and then destroyed. The synthesis of the novel filter material was optimized, and tested in multiple reuse applications for the removal of a number of PFAS pollutants. Flow through column tests validated the novel filter for cleaning the water under continuous water flow conditions.
Amriton received a contract from the DoD (SERDP program) to develop a process to remove PFAS from soil and water.
Amriton is seeking partners to further develop and market the novel filter technology.
